We all know that being around pet dogs helps extend our lives! Just visiting with these animals has a beneficial effect on our moods and behavior. Steven's Doggy Services offers dog walking, dog training and drop-in visits. This service is good for the customer, good for the dogs themselves, and good for the trainer - Steven.

Steven Vela has a business in Jamison, Pennsylvanis training dogs which he then brings to your house to visit you. He is the survivor of a ruptured aneurysm at the base of his skull back in 2016 when he was in his mid-twenties. Apparently, he bled for 12 hours before seeking medical attention. He spent a total of a month in the ICU where they found another anuerism which was not yet burst (they were able to use stents to divert the blood from the area.)

He learned about brain anuerisms early because his mother died from one when he was a young child. As he grew up, he began working in the hospitality industry where he worked for Norwegian Cruise Lines (which sailed around the Hawaiian Islands), and then as a server at multiple chain restaurants (which include Olive Garden) as a “certified trainer.”

However, he had to give up that work after experiencing the ruptured aneurysm, as he was never the same. Suddenly a bunch of health problems occurred (orthostatic hypotension and chronic migraines). He attempted to return to work 6 months after being hospitalized, only to realize that things for him had permanently changed as he was now disabled.

He was able to find his new “niche,” by turning to his 2nd great love - animals, especially dogs. That is when he began offering dog walking/drop-in visits. As he was doing dog walks, he earned his dog training certification. So he is able to offer dog training with the other services. He is now a satisfied business owner with Steven's Doggy Services.
