The Matt Duffin Show - Cut Back, Not Sit Back...

At a 'spry' 48-year old man, suddenly I was 'sent to work' after my Brain Injury.   Sports writing gigs, I'd be ok.  For two years, I was, uh, OK.  The Western Wayne News worked so hard in my recovery process, a process we all didn't quite understand - yet.  Year 2, I 'retired' from Butler University Sports, and after HS Baseball, my brain was drained.  

My SPL Joni Goins found me at her door, she recreated a nice guy inside this monster.  But the moster finds cracks to peek thru.  But Joni got me going.  John Hiatt crowned me in so many Natural Reaction Oddity's with a calming explanations that mattered...

Enter stronger therapy, State funded research, Neuro's after Neuro's.  School and info on Brain Injury became my life.  It remains, and I enjoy passing along Coping Skills, Life Skills, Guests, Co Hosts, Jennifer and of course Lefty.  9-years and hopping right along, Lefty.  You the listeners have been my personal growth and understandings, and love.  I asked God one time, if there is a reason for me to live, allow me to wipe the frowns off BI Survivors family and freinds faces.  Man, what an image a person coming out of a comma see's and try's to think, in so many directions.    

I spent 4 1/2 years under the direction of RHI's Neuro Center, and the Dr. Lisa Thompson Family Center found a 'wayward dog out side, wagging his tail'.   I loved and learned life again, and will never loose it.
