MS & ME: Off the Grid and On a Mission with guest Jimmy Lewis

Tonight’s guest Jimmy Lewis will join show co-hosts Erika Lyons Richardson and Heather Love Leffel to discuss his hike alone with only his pup along the eastern coastal states last year - 1165 miles in 4 months filled with scary adventures, relapses, no money, hungry, yet determined to complete his intended journey.  He reached his personal goal while spreading awareness.  He is now showing others how to live off the grid on disability funds.

MS & Me is a caller Q&A and featured quest show focusing on day to day living with multiple sclerosis.

Host Erika Lyons Richardson has had Multiple Sclerosis and Lupus since childhood.  Her PRMS went misdiagnosed for many years.  Her experience as a former admin for the Lupus Foundation group led her to co-found SLE & ME, Erika's Health Warriors; MS, Lupus & Me; as well as her work with Heather's MS Family, Shezza & Her Amazing Warriors!, MSPals, and moderator/contributor for www.mspals.org. Although she is wheelchair bound and living with advanced MS, Erika lives a purposeful, active life.

Co-host of MS & Me Heather Love Leffel knows MS all too well.  Not only does she live with RRMS, but her mother and twin sister have MS as well.  Heather is the founder of Heather's MS Family, MS Awareness Videos, and works with MS, Lupus & Me.  Her Awareness videos, MS Vertigo Challenge, TV Interview, memes, YouTube channel and live Q&A shows have inspired many in the MS community.  Heather’s thirst for knowledge has built her a reputation for being a valuable resource for the MS community.
