For 29 years, author Cyndy Feasel was married to former NFL player Grant Feasel, an offensive lineman who toiled in the trenches, battering his body with every snap of the ball.

In her newbook, After the Cheering Stops: An NFL Wife’s Story of Concussions, Loss and the Faith That Saw Her Through, Cyndy Feasel shares how the repeated hits taken during her husband’s ten-year career in the NFL and the unknown effects of a degenerative brain disease (CTE) turned her life upside down and ultimately killed the man she loved.

Most people don’t know or understand how CTE, and the repetitive collisions most football players and athletes take day after day, affect the athletes and their families. She wants to show a human side—and share a female perspective—of what happens off the field.   See site: afterthecheeringstops.com

This show is a gathering place for anyone seeking recovery from the challenges of life on life's terms. We discuss useful tools that have helped us lighten the load, of our journey through recovery. This is a "we" recovery program, because it is in the "we," that we find the new "me."

We focus on the four A's of Recovery: Awareness, Acceptance, Action and Adaptation. This is a place for survivor's striving to become thrivers.
