TBI or not, or EQUAL Brain Injury - our life must \set goals.  Or just sit there.  Even getting to the kitchen is a goal at times.  Perhaps a short goal, but yes, us Survivors have to move to get there.  Even move to open the fridge door!  One good stratigy for many recovery settings in goals.  Just a bit more, not to much, but a bit.  That's how one attacks a PT visit, not going through the motions.  TALK with your PT as  you work, be social.  It's not much different than walking and talking.

Goals, part of Moving Forward in Your Recovery,  Returning to work, relearning how to drive.  Important, wishful goal setting.  Go slow.  Always baby step.  Babies can still take one more step.

Set a goal, small or large, short or small, but be 'S'pecific,  Define how the goal will be 'M'easured - length, timely, what?  It has to be challenging, a positive challenge me.  Teach you pet a trick, paint a picture, learn to throw a baseball (I'll try one more time) so it's 'Attainable'.  Know and YOU understand why this goal will be 'R'elevant to your progress/life skills.  It has to be set in some measureable distance, or (the word I've always disliked) in a 'Timely' manner.  Late, like the word Dead Line was always my personal struggle.  SMART goals.   You should of seen my Dad.  In a Goal setting, its usually OK to extend your goal, as you may accomplish feat early.

His vs  Her Concussion  talk.

Call me, let's make a show.  (424)  243-9540 and it's Toll Free people!  My daughter is recovering nicely, thank you.  Oh, I'll rock and roll to.  The music of the '80s wasn't the greatys - ok, but kinda Pop.  Why do you think songs before that is called "Classic Rock"...
