Brain Injury Communication with Host Michael Idell-Education about Brain Injury

Any type of abnormal brain function is a brain injury. PTSD, multiple sclerosis, hydrocephalus, strokes, tumors, anoxia, neuromuscular disorders such as transverse myelitis, Guillain-Barre Syndrome or related neurologic conditions are all types of brain injuries of different kinds, along with traumatic brain injuries.

• We need to educate the public, doctors, familes and survivors what these disabilites are. They are often misinterpreted and misdiagnosed because individuals are judged upon instead of understanding.
• We need to educate survivors how to accept who they are now.
• We need to motivate survivors, caregivers and family members to not give up and how we can all progress.
