Managing Irritability and Anger.  Both the TBI Survivor and Caregiver will face MUCH of such actions and feelings along the recovery path, especially during the early months.

The Survivor has "changed", but yet they haven't.  A confused state that will also cause much irritability, and anger.  Anxioty might follow as the floors of your residence is covered with 'egg shells'.  Push comes to shove, and the emotions take over.  Both, while upset as an emotion, are simply mad, frustrated, concerned or disgusted feelings.  Not good.

Brain Injury  Coping Skills teaches the basics and working efforts of calming this feelings, while I suggest quickly turning your thoughts to positive emotions and change the moment.  As dad would say "work on it".  I'll offer some ideas and ways of controling ones anger and irritablitiy, as taught to me (so much, and now I can teach it!) at the Dr. Lisa Thompson Foundation Family Recovery Center.

(424) 243-9540 and let's talk, about anything but there a thought to narrown down your thoughts.
