Ray is a young stroke survivor.  It has been found that he was suffering from a rare condition called thoracic outlet syndrome or TOS for short. This caused an aneurysm to form in his subclavian artery.  TOS sent him through a round of surgeries and stays in the hospital.  Doctors started going over all his brain scans and investigating and found by comparing brain scans done before that he had suffered a stroke sometime around August of 2011.  He recovered.  then one morning with a horrible headache that would not go away, it was also accompanied by nausea and uncontrollable vomiting. He stayed home but on the 2nd day the pain was so unbearable and that he decided to call the doctor and was told to get to the ER. He went and the last thing he remembered was a voice saying, “you have significant bleeding in your brain and we are not equipped to handle this.”   He was having a hemorrhagic stroke. They had to do an emergency craniotomy to drain the blood from his brain.

This show is about stroke and brain injury and is for anyone interested in stroke with bits and pieces thrown in for inspiration, ways to be healthy, less stressed and more.  I want to be here to share and to lift up other stroke survivors or warriors.  I want to help you find out there are others going through what you have gone though.  Maybe not the same journey but a survivor none the less.  To give positive information, inspire and embrace what you have and continue moving forward.
