My Guest Tonight is Aaron Beltran. He’s 23 years old and because of several concussions and head injuries he is multiple Brain Injury Survivor. He I only had a slight concussion was dizzy and got sick after a little while. Then I was fine did not think too much of it. He was told by his Doctors that if I ever hit my head again I probably will not be here anymore. The first time I have had a concussion. I was in fourth grade playing football with all my friends and as I was running to catch the ball, I ran into a tree. I only had a slight concussion was dizzy and got sick after a little while I was fine and did not think too much of it. Then about six months later, I was riding a horse that took off with me. I ended up falling off my helmet came off and I hit my head hard. It also broke my arm on this fall. My mother rushed me to the doctor as I had seizures with this head injury. I don’t remember too much about just what people have told me. Then a couple of years later I was at a horse show and I jumped the fence when I went over the head of my horse and fell on my head. I was wearing a helmet and a safety vest. I still had a bad concussion and was dizzy and sick for two days. A lot of years went by and every now and then for no reason I would get a little dizzy at times and did not think much of it. At the time I was 18 years old and them out foxhunting in Maryland coming up to a jump the horse decided to stop now, when I was foxhunting. We didn’t have a harness on a helmet, so as a horse stopped his head came up hit me in the face and the helmet flew off. I did stay on the horse and had a bloody face my helmet flew off. I did stay on the horse and had a bloody nose, but being who I am. I brushed it off and kept on going for another hour. When I did get back to the barn the grooms asked if I was okay. They said I was white as a sheet and I told them I didn’t feel very well, so they put me in the car and took me to the hospital.
