About Shannon Marie

For a flower to grow and blossom, it has to go thru a lot of dirt.  It also need a lot of care and nurturing. This analogy reminds me of all the tough as well as rewarding experiences I have had in life. Your life can change in a split second. I suffered a severe traumatic brain injury on November 17, 1984 at the age of fifteen. The accident left me in a deep coma for two months. My rehabilitation was learning to walk, talk, chew, swallow, and most importantly, to SMILE! The doctor's prognosis was not good, but my true grit determination proved them all wrong. With my Mother's "Never Give Up" attitude, she instilled in me that anything is possible! Abraham Lincoln once said, "Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be." That has become my philosophy on life.
