Tonight,  Ken Collins will talk about his work at the San Juan Center for Independence in Gallup, New Mexico,  creating independent living opportunities for people with brain injuries.  Ken, also conducts a weekly peer support group for people with brain injuries that is modeled after his recovery process and the quality of life he has gained. Support isn't always what we "get" from others - but also what we "give" to improve our condition instead of waiting and hoping our condition will improve.  Ken has been living with a brain injury for 38 years and has learned many ways to make his life easier after his brain injury.  He would like to share his experiences and lessons with you to make your journey easier and have life be less complicated for you and your family.
