We come in peace - the Empowerment Zone - With Les Paul

As Christmas 2013 is fast approaching the famous words that are one small step for a Man, one giant one giant leap for Mankind keep echoing through my mind. These were the first Words ever spoken from the surface of the Moon on July 20th 1969 by Neil Armstrong on the Apollo 11 Moon Mission.

Now many Years later people with disabilities much like the missions to the moon we the survivors need to come together with a common goal and go where no Man or Woman with a disability has ever gone before! Our Mission here at the Empowerment Zone is to take you on a journey of discovery to help you do just that. Not doing it for you not tell you how to live your life but to share our journeys together on how to become more Independent!

This will take us the survivors of disabilities becoming more active and creative so that we can all reach for new heights by break down barriers, becoming more active in community and work with civic minded organizations and being more willing to step up to the plate and advocate for people with disabilities everywhere!!!

Join me tonight as we reflect on things good and bad that have happened for people with disabilities and to pre-pair a list of what we need to reach the top of the mountain for the Year 2014 and make big and bold changes become a reality! Get ready for the New Year with the Empowerment Zone and enjoy the ride along with us because the more we get involved the better chance we have to help change the lives of people with disabilities everywhere!
