Mission Statement: THE EMPOWERMENT ZONE is a bold new step in which the Independent Living mission will be broadcast over the  internet radio, phone, and computer, based program designed to increase your knowledge and understanding of the Independent Living movement of how to live an enabled life through core services such as Advocacy, Peer Support, Life Skills, and transition to bridge the gap between accessibility and Independent Living using awareness and social changes that are needed to help people with disabilities to live life to the fullest level of inclusion possible!

The Empowerment Zone is a bold new step that bridges the gap using Internet  technology to increase peer support and advocacy the Independent living movement and equal access by using Internet Radio broadcast to all of the United States and internationally using telephone, internet, and a Chartroom to combine the highly valued recourses.

A Center for Independent Living (CIL), as defined by Title VII of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, is a community-based, consumer-controlled organization providing independent living related services to people of all ages with all types of disabilities.
