With more and more people being diagnosed each day with a Brain Injury as a result of truama, unemployment is on the rise. It was Ortega Y Gasset who defined "Genius", as the ability to invent ones occupation.

As the World's first OFFICIAL TBI THRIVER, Kevin dares to share his insight and experiences to inspire others with Brain Injuries to create a More FUNctional LIFE using a unique perspective with "WTF?".

THIS WEEK: Accountability after a TBI: Taking Ownership of Your LIFE

“You can have results or you can have your excuses. You cannot have both.” ~ Unknown

Throughout my journey as a TBI Thriver, I have been reminded how extremely tough it is to be accountable for everything I do. Personal accountability is being willing to answer, or to be accountable, for the outcomes resulting from your choices, behaviors, and actions. While the main focus has always been on the outcome, it is imperative to remember that we must be willing to personally take ownership for the "before, during, and after"!  From there, we can embrace change!  We can keep doing what hasn't worked for us in the past if we want to, but it's not going to work for us in the future either!  By accepting responsibility for such outcomes and work towards change, we are able to achieve goals once thought as impossible. Understanding accountability will not only improve our relationships and careers, it will improve ourselves.

Tune in this week to add another perspective to your daily repertoire.  If there is something in particular you would like to hear Kevin discuss, join us on Fridays and share in the chat room with the "Marvelous Maggie" (Kevin's 24/7 Partner and Professional Care Assistant)
