Today is a sad day.  We have lost our dear friend Charlie Larson.  Charlie was born with down syndrome but was never treated any other way than normal by us.  Charlie was always up beat, happy and a very easy person to like.  Charlie always was a leader.  He wanted to be a part of everything and in a big way.   He was a part of Durham's oustanding volunteer fire department.  He contributed his time to our amazing high school basketball team.

Charlie participated in Special Olympics and won dozens of medals.  I only remember Charlie's warm smile, intelligence and hugs.  I cannot even remember one time where Charlie even got mad at anyone.  Tonight we remember Charlie as "Mr. Durham", our friend, classmate and dedicated volunteer.  Please call in and tell us your favorite moments involving Charlie Larson.

Call in at 10pm ESTime, 7pm Pacific and listen on your phone at 424-243-9540 and press "1" when you want to join the host's cue and I will open up your mic.  Or, click on the link to the show and sign in.  If you are on Facebook just click on the blue icon and you will automatically be signed in.

I will have a guest on the show with us that is knowledgeable in the area of Down Syndrome.  Charlie would love it that we are learning and teaching others, it's the Coginchaug way.  I am proud and happy to have this opportunity to memorialize our friend this way.
