The Protocol Show with Dj Asselin and co host Brent Feuz

The Protocol for Brain Injury in New York State was the idea of Brent Feuz.  Brent is a TBI survivor, former professional firefighter and paramedic.  Brent and I have discussed the fact that I was sent to a hospital after my work related head injury that did not have neurosurgical services. 

This could have been a catastrophic mistake and should have been handled much differently.  Only level I trauma centers are equipped to handle such sudden and complicated emergencies yet many people presenting with sudden brain bleeds and pain in their head are taken to ilprepared hospitals and  many just die. 

Brent will discuss what brought him to want to do this for our community and how it's being designed to help us right away.  Please listen, call in and ask Brent and I questions about this protocol.  His protocols are important to every type of injury to the body.  Once implemented by ambulance and other first responders, the mortality rate of sudden injuries will go up substantially.

Brent will thoroughly go through his protocol for first responder’s right through the emergency room.  I would like to take it all the way through the steps of rehab.  Acute, sub acute and post acute care is every bit as important as the initial surgery.  Why buy a Mercedes and not keep it waxed!!
