I Dream I will exist

We will   remember our great leaders before us like; MLK,  Rose Moore, Ed Roberts, Justin Dart and others who have came before us and paved the trails that we continue to expand to have society embrace us, survivors for who we are not what they are told we are.

Brain injury being a leading cause of death puts a lot of attention to it as well as lots of money.  Survivors would never know it.  It has become a huge money cow bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars for studies, projects, associations and alliances.  And you see that money being used across the country by organizations who are clueless and could care less about what survivors want and have their own agendas of fame and fortune .

Just in my short journey of less than a decade, I have been discounted, sabotaged by organizations.  All it has done is made me more determined, we have these organizations deciding what survivors want and need.

It is time survivors stand up, be heard and take charge now, everywhere in every aspect of our lives.  No longer will others speak for us we have our own voice.
