DREAM CATCHERS

Hosted  by: Les Paul Morgan

The Disability Trap. Tonight I want to encorage people to call in and share their Ideas and stories on ending the disability trap to living a better life after brain injury.

What I mean is we all deserve the opourtunity to live the American Dream and thepursuit of happiness which in my opinion means finding careers for people with brain injuries that are suitable for the personat a decent living wage and affordable healthcare and making sure the Americans with disabilities act is being fully and obeyed!

I often hear people with brain injuries say that the odds are stacked against them but it doesn't have to be that way!

With brain injury that is very true especially when you consider how are local state and federal laws are stacked against survivors.

Together we need to make big changes happen now not yesterday!

in my opinion SSI and SSDI are set up in a way to track people with disabilities in poverty and in many ways prevent brain injury survivors who are on these programs from getting marriedsay for example if one always on SSDI and the other on SSI! to me that is just plain wrong and needs to be fixed!

Les Paul Morgan, brings his uni que stories and sharing s to those living with brain injury, Les is a survivor and a support group facilitator for the Brain Injury Association in Georgia and South Carolina as well works at a state independent living center.  Les has a positive out look and has much to share about his journey dealing with brain injury for many years.  Les is also on the board of directors for the TBI Survivors Network helping build strong survivor lead groups all over the world.  Les will motivate you, make you think and leave you feeling inspired.
