This Week's Guest:

Jojopah Maria Nsoroma (formerly Maria Matthews) is an accomplished human and organizational development specialist with over 30 years of experience serving economically and socially challenged children, youth, families, communities, and organizations.  She has worked on the front-line of grass roots efforts as well as administered national program interventions.  Jojopah is also a spiritual healing practitioner who blends West African and Native American shamanic healing arts.  As a wisdom keeper of ancient indigenous teachings from the Dagara Tribe of Burkina Faso, West Africa (which she learned from both Malidoma and Sobonfu Some) she utilizes the Dagara medicine wheel as the framework for her teaching of self-mastery and higher consciousness learning. Jojopahmaria is the owner of Higher Expectations Consulting, which provides innovative and non-traditional approaches to organizational learning and healing.  She provides a shamanic trauma resolution program, The Wisdom Walk to Self-Mastery, for men charged with domestic violence at the Alma Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She also provides the Wisdom Walk to Self-Mastery for Human Services Professionals -- a 9-month program that enables professionals to address their vicarious trauma which results from working directly with persons affected by post-traumatic stress syndrome.
