Making Music for Life: Rediscover Your Musical Passion with Gayla Mills

Roots musician Gayla M. Mills will help you take your next step, whether you play jazz, roots, classical, or rock. You'll become a better musician, learning the best ways to practice, improve your singing, enjoy playing with others, get gigs and record, and bring more music to your community. Most importantly, you'll discover how music can help you live and age well.

Gayla M. Mills is a hobbyist bass player and harmony singer, former college instructor, and writer with scores of published essays and features. Gayla's essays and flash fiction have appeared in Spry, Prairie Wolf Press, Skirt!, Greenwoman, and more. Her chapbook of personal essays, Finite, won the Red Ochre Lit Chapbook contest.

She and her husband Gene have performed together for years, and two of their albums reached the top ten folk charts and international listeners. Gayla conducted extensive research and interviews to add to her fifteen years experience in writing "Making Music for Life," her first full-length book.
