As a small child, Tessa had an angel looking over her shoulder and giving her advice. She also suffered from severe fear of monsters in the dark -- demons and shadow creatures.

As an adult, she shared the experience of divine intervention while her husband heard what he believed to be the voice of God in the form of the Torah, Logos or Sophia (Holy Wisdom, the female member of the Trinity).  He also met people who claimed to be from our future. They said that they were trying to fix our mistakes in order to prevent the disaster that nearly destroyed their world.
