EPISODE 101 :: JOSHUA CHAPTERS 1 THRU 2 :: JOSHUA PREPARE TO CROSS THE JORDAN

Introduction

The book of Joshua contains the history of Israel while being under the command and the government of Joshua. Three we will find three things that are very prominent in the book of Joshua.

1. There is the entrance of Israel into the land of Canaan covered in chapters one through 5.
2. Secondly there is the conquest of Canaan which we will find in chapters 6 through 12.
3. Then we will see the distribution of the land which is covered in chapters 22 through 24.

We will also be able to see a great deal of God's Providence, his power which will be revealed in the Kingdom of nature. We will also see his justice as he punishes the Canaanites after their sin has reached its full measure.  Despite Israel’s many provocations toward God comma we will also see much of God's grace and Christ in the person of Joshua.
