NUMBERS 19:3 THE RED HEIFER SLAUGHTERED AND BURNED OUTSIDE THE CAMP

3You shall give it to Eleazar the priest, and it shall be brought outside the camp and be slaughtered in his presence.

            In Numbers 17:13 it says, “Everyone who comes near, who comes near to the tabernacle of the Lord, must die. Are we to perish completely?”  The people were complaining about the strictness of this law, which had forbidden them to approach the tabernacle and die.  The answer God gave to their complaint allowed them to come somewhat closer to the tabernacle if they were to cleanse themselves so they could approach the tabernacle without fear.
