EXODUS 31 THRU 34
EXODUS 33:21-23 MOSES SEES THE GLORY OF GOD
21Then the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock; 22and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by. 23Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen.”
Question: Why did God permit Moses to see Him with his own eyes?
Answer: It was to assist Moses in his faith and devotion. What do we do when God answers our prayer? We thank Him and we are confident enough to ask for ourselves and on behalf of others. Take Jacob for instance. His faith was given a tremendous boost in his faith after he had wrestled with God and God did not prevail. How is it that God did not prevail? I do not believe that God will prevail over the spiritual things He gives us. He strengthens it.
