A “Doctrine” is a formal or informal set of beliefs shared by people of a common experience. Accordingly, Urban America has a specific doctrine that is common despite geographic location. This doctrine drives the mentality of self defeat and justification for avoidance of discipline and order that leads to success. As we complete our series on Urban American solutions, we shall address the root cause of educational, social and economic setbacks for people who live in Urban American neighborhoods.
